Among the 18 faculty honored at the annual Founders Day celebration were two faculty from the Department of Psychology. Dr. Alicia Doerflinger, Director of the Honors Program and Investigative Studies and Associate Professor of Psychology was one of the two recipients of the Edward G. Harness Outstanding Educator Award. The award is the highest award voted on by the faculty at Marietta College.

Dr. Christopher Klein, Director of the Master’s Program in Psychology and McCoy Associate Professor of Psychology was honored with one of the Advising Awards, which are given to faculty members who demonstrate quality advising in the areas of mentoring students in their transition to college, helping students with selection of courses, their major, career, and life planning. In addition, Dr. Klein was also awarded the Marietta Community Leadership Award for his work with the Pioneer Pipeline Program.
